The Global Village website is created using an open source content management system known as Mambo. Mambo is a full-featured Web-based program that can be used to create and maintain both simple Web sites and complex community Web sites. The core install of mambo has been customised by the addition of the Site Map component from ThinkNetwork, in addition to a custom Global Village header and menu component. Mambo runs this site using the PHP language and the MySQL database. The site structure is built up using XHTML and CSS. |
